National Librarians’ Day is observed on 10th august 2022 to commemorate the birth anniversary of Padmashri Dr S. R. Ranganathan (1892-1972), who is considered as father of library Science in India. Dr. Ranganathan dedicated his entire life to the library profession in India leaving a rich legacy. The University Library, University of North Bengal organised to Celebrate National Librarian’s Day on 10th August 2022 (Wednesday) in memory of the 130th Birth Anniversary of Padmashri Dr. S. R Ranganathan.
