The University Library conducted a two-day training programme on Library Services and a hands-on practical demonstration for 4th-semester MLIS students from 21/07/2022 to 22/07/2022.
The event was initiated by the University Librarian, NBU, who urged all attendees to challenge their careers in the professional field.
The major keynote speaker was Senior Information Scientist, NBU, who highlighted several library services that are based on ICT in his presentation.
He outlined the workflow of the library management software and emphasised the value of technology in the library science field. He also exhibited the basic installation of Koha in an easy method and demonstrated how to use the software to students.
The Deputy Librarian,NBU discussed the services in the reference section, and Dr. Parimal Ray elaborated on the services in the processing section.
A total of forty students of the 4th Semester MLIS students were present in the programme and it concluded with interaction among the students and speakers.
