University Library Visit from BLIS Students of West Bengal State University
On 7th May 2023, 28 BLIS students from West Bengal State University visited the University Library, NBU.
On 7th May 2023, 28 BLIS students from West Bengal State University visited the University Library to familiarize themselves with the library services and resources. The visit was organized to help the students better understand the library's services and facilities and how to make use of them for their academic research.
The senior information scientist of the University Library briefly presented an overview of the library services, including the various types of resources available such as books, journals, databases, and online resources. The students were also shown how to access these resources through the library's online catalog and search tools.
Dr. Sushanta Banerjee, University Librarian, West Bengal State University, accompanied the students.
During the visit, the library staff helped the students to explore different sections of the library, including the reference section, the circulation section, and the periodicals section. They were also shown how to locate books and other materials using the library's classification system.
The visit was a success as it provided the BLIS students with a better understanding of the University Library and its resources. The students expressed their gratitude for the opportunity to visit the library and learn about its services and facilities.
